How to Buy a PSN Gift Card with Crypto (US PlayStation Store)

Short answer: PlayStation Store does not take crypto. In the US, it accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay and Cash App Pay (PlayStation Support). To pay for PlayStation games with crypto, you buy a PSN gift card with crypto from a shop that accepts it, then add the code to your PlayStation wallet. At IQSIX you choose a US PSN card, select Pay with Crypto Currency at checkout, pay on the NOWPayments page and get the code by email once the payment is confirmed.

This guide shows how to buy a PSN gift card with crypto step by step, what the crypto payment statuses mean, how to avoid the common mistakes (wrong amount, wrong network, wrong region) and how to redeem the code. Facts come from PlayStation Support and NOWPayments, checked in October 2026.

  • PlayStation Store: cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash App Pay – no crypto
  • The way around it: pay for a PSN gift card with crypto, then redeem it
  • At IQSIX: “Pay with Crypto Currency” at checkout (NOWPayments)
  • Region: our cards are USA cards for US PlayStation accounts
  • Delivery: the code arrives by email after the payment is confirmed

Does PlayStation Store accept crypto?

PSN gift card with crypto: pay with crypto at checkout, get the 12-digit code by email, redeem it in PlayStation Store and spend the wallet funds; PlayStation Store itself takes no crypto
How buying a PSN gift card with crypto works.

No. PlayStation Support lists the payment methods you can use to make PlayStation Store purchases and top up your wallet in the US: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay and Cash App Pay (PlayStation Support). Bitcoin, USDT and other cryptocurrencies are not on the list.

But PlayStation also says that your wallet can be topped up using a registered payment method or PlayStation gift cards. That is the key: if you buy a PSN gift card with crypto, the card’s value goes into your wallet when you redeem it, and you spend it in PlayStation Store like any other wallet funds.

Why buy a PSN gift card with crypto?

People pay for a PSN gift card with crypto for simple reasons: they already hold crypto and do not want to sell it first, they prefer not to save a bank card on a console that the whole family uses, or they want to set a fixed budget for games. A gift card also works as a present: you pay with crypto, and the other person only needs a US PlayStation account to redeem the code.

How to buy a PSN gift card with crypto at IQSIX: 6 steps

  1. Check your account region. Our PSN cards are USA cards, so your PlayStation account must be registered in the United States. Not sure? See how to check your account region.
  2. Choose the card value. We sell $10, $20, $50 and $100 US PSN cards. Add one to your cart.
  3. Go to checkout and fill in your email address carefully: the code is sent there.
  4. Select “Pay with Crypto Currency” and place the order. You are taken to the NOWPayments payment page.
  5. Pay on the NOWPayments page. Choose a coin from the list and send the exact amount it shows, to the address it shows, on the network it shows.
  6. Wait for the confirmation. When the payment is confirmed, we send your 12-digit PSN code by email.

Paying from an exchange account

Many people pay from an exchange or a trading app instead of their own wallet. Before you withdraw, check two things: that the exchange sends the coin on the same network the payment page asks for, and whether it takes a withdrawal fee from the amount you type. If it does, add the fee, so that the full amount of your PSN gift card with crypto payment arrives.

Then redeem the code on your PS5, PS4, the PlayStation App or the web: see how to redeem a PSN gift card.

Crypto payment statuses explained

NOWPayments payment statuses and what to do.

While you pay, NOWPayments shows a status for your payment. Here is what each one means, based on NOWPayments’ help center:

StatusWhat it meansWhat you do
WaitingThe payment was created; the coins have not been sent yetSend the exact amount
ConfirmingYour coins were detected and the transaction is being processed on the blockchainWait – do not pay again
Confirmed / FinishedThe blockchain confirmed the payment and it is completeWatch your email for the code

How long confirming takes depends on the coin and how busy its network is. You do not need to keep the page open: once the payment is confirmed, the order moves on and the code is emailed to you.

5 mistakes to avoid when you pay with crypto

  • Sending less than the amount: exchanges and wallets can take a withdrawal fee from the amount you send. Make sure the full amount arrives, or the payment shows as partially paid.
  • Using the wrong network: the same coin can exist on several networks. Send it only on the network the payment page shows.
  • Paying twice: if the status says Confirming, your payment was found. Wait instead of sending again.
  • Wrong region: a US PSN card does not work on a UK, EU or other account, and you cannot change an account’s region.
  • Typos in your email: the code goes to the email address you enter at checkout.

Crypto transactions cannot be cancelled once they are sent, so check the amount, the address and the network before you confirm in your wallet.

Is it safe to buy a PSN gift card with crypto?

Paying with crypto is safe when you pay a real shop through its checkout. The risk with gift cards is scams: the US Federal Trade Commission warns that anyone who tells you to pay with a gift card is a scammer (FTC). So:

  • Buy a PSN card for yourself or as a gift, never to “pay” a stranger, a bill or a fine.
  • Pay only through the checkout’s payment page, which shows the exact amount and address for your order.
  • Keep the code private until you redeem it: whoever redeems it first gets the money.
